After initial advice, fitted 4 new sets of door and pillar seals and also renewed the plastic membrane behind the interior door panels. The doors seem to fit nice and snuggly but the car still leaks in heavy windy rain and during washing. So far not noticable during driving.
There is no sunroof fitted.
Where else can it be getting in?? Or what else should I be doing?
Any thoughts on this subject would be much appreciated.
Thanks, Garry T.

Why are you so convinced that the problem is with the doors. And what is the general condition of the car. The 114 I used to drive took in water from the bulk head. Behind the front wheels there is a steel closure panel which fits between the inside of the outer wing and the bulkhead. It has a rubber trim against the outer wing. The replacement part for this is plastic as it is susceptible to rusting particularly at the bottom. This in turn allows the front of the cill to rust through without being seen. The result is water in the driver's or front passenger's foot pan. If the carpet adhered to the inside of the cill at the front end is wet and shoddy then this could be your problem.

Alternatively, water getting into the air intake at the base of the windscreen may be getting into the vehicle via corroded holes.
