Hi Members.
Please can anyone advise me if I can replace the seal around the sunroof easily on my 1985 380 sec coupe?
Old Mercs rule! Cheers Chris

I'm not sure about the seal, but may I point out that they are not watertight anyway.
A common cause of a "leaking sunroof" is that the drainage channels (one at each corner) which run down the A and C pillars of the car get blocked. As the water can't then drain away it spills back into the interior of the vehicle.

On some cars the drains exit underneath the car and are fitted with a one way rubber valve/stopper, which becomes blocked. Clearing this will sort the problem.

remove the sunvisors and mirror, then the front roof trim and check the roof drains have not rotted away. i have repaired these loads of times.
