Poped into the local merc dealer the other day for bits and bobs and asked what I should use to keep the leather interior in good condition. All I got was a blank look so I decided to browse the motor factors shelfs for something that would do the job.

After a lot of humming and arring I decided to try a product called MER leather cleaner and conditioner. Having used it for a couple of times now I am finding the results very positive. The hardness has gone out of the leather and it appears and feels like new. Very pleased!

Anybody else got any tips or recommendations on products.

hi conleycrew .

my personal opinion is that the arm rest would cost no more than
50.00 pounds to repair .you need to rub it down, then paint with undercoat.
you can put origioal merc paint.boy it will look like new.

Bought the Gliptone liquid leather conditioner/cleaner kit from Elkparts

http://www.elkparts.com/product_info.php/products_id/2676

Only £9.48 plus £3.18 P&P, ordered Monday and got it Today (Tuesday) by first class post - so good service and good value.

Tried it out tonight, bit cold in the garage, but already can see and smell the difference! The trouble with mushroom coloured leather is that it always seems dirty or discoloured to me! The conditioner just seems to get absorbed into the leather so easily. Gets my thumbs up so far...
