leather colour restorer?

The mushroom leather colour in my 1994 A124 is looking a bit tired. has anyone tried a leather colour restorer such as that advertised on ebay?

is this going to help or just mess up my leather?

Normally I find that using a good quality leather cleaner and conditioner will bring tired leather back to life. Especially on lighter colour leathers you'll find cleaning and feeding will really do the trick.

I don't know with the product you have linked as not seen or used it, but a couple I have tested before were a real pain, only colouring the very top surface and when rubbed hard the colour marked a cloth so would do the same to whatever you'd be wearing.

Follow Shooter's advice that stuff on e-bay is shoe polish!
Gliptone is widely recommended.

The Gliptone cleaner and feeder work well (make sure you like the strong "old leather" smell first!).

I tried the dye kit on a mate's grey leather - absolutely miles off in colour and the guy at gliptone made out it was our fault! Basil Fawlty's twin.

Best to do a good clean and two feeds and see if it plumps up and hides the wear - if its still no good, only then start trying the dye.

got an excellent match for mushroom hide from gliptone. They'll need a small leather sample to work with, a tiny bit from under a seat will do. They also supply a couple of small bottles of tint to help you get an exact match.
