Leather Seat Covers

I have a 1988 (F) 420SL with a worn drivers back rest on the seat ? I have been quoted a huge sum from Mercedes and wondered whether anyone out there has any ideas? Can seats be recovered more economically?

The colour is beige/creame

why not take it to a coachtrimer and get a quote to have it repaired,dont know why everyone runs to a dealer and gets frightened off with their prices..
