Leather Steering Wheel Restoration

We'e had 1994 W124 E220 Coupe for the past few months and the interior is in great shape with the exception of one rough spot on the leather steering wheel, probably caused by a previous owner driving everywhere with one sweaty right hand on the wheel. The rest of the wheel feels great it's just this one 4 or 5 inch section at the roughly 2 o'clock position.

Any hints on a product that would get it back near the condition of the rest of the wheel ?

New steering wheel not in the budget at the moment

i am sorry to here about your steering wheel but use multi purpose cleaner mix with water thn rub it with a toothbrush if this does not work you will have to rub it down with sand paper then repaint it hope this helps you

If you haven't managed to get the rough spot out I can let you have the name of a couple of guys that would be-able to re-conolise it for you - either on site or you could send it to them
