I have a long scratch across the back seat of my estate which shows up against the black leather/faux leather, any ideas as how to cover as they are too deep to remove so colouring in seems the best way forward.

From Liquid Leather's info pages

"TO REPAIR SCRATCHES AND MINOR CUTS: Use Scuff Master Kit, concentrated and toner if necessary, fill the scratch with dye using a tooth pick or split match, wipe off excess dye from the sides of the scratch, allow to dry, then "colour wash" if necessary (described below)"

I think I may have found the answer "Black Shoe Polish", I have just tried it and it works, because it was hot in the car the polish melted in to the scratch instantly so all I had to do was buff it up as soon as it had dried, I went over it twice just to make sure and apart from the fact that the scratch was across the seat it has practically disappeared.
Saves me forking out for expensive treatment for the time being.
And whilst I had the stuff in my hand I tried it on the black roof rails and it worked a treat on those too.
