LED door handles C Class

Most people will probably know that the C class comes with a small LED light that illuminates the door handle at night upon opening, for those who didn't know they had them and would like advise on how to change them I have just changed mine, I could guide anyone through the process if they aren't sure, or would like to travel to my house I can help them

I just discovered one of mine has gone so may contact you. The LEDs are not expensive but I'm put off by removing the door card. I took one off on my previous S203 and it never seemed as secure afterwards.

Just a note guys in case it’s not something you’ve noticed but my ex C300h had blue led lights on the rear door handles when you order new they come standard as white !

Mine are white. I had had the car for about three months before I even noticed them.

I believe when they go to a purple colour it means they are on the way out.....It's not just the door card that needs removing it's the door handle, lock, inner panel and window needs to go into service mode and removed to gain access....It's a PITA

Just a tip don't buy the ones from eBay they are the original ones in black plastic that tend to only last a few months, I purchased my new ones from Mercedes they are the upgraded ones, that apparently prevent water ingress these are a clear plastic, I think they were £18 each
