I have a c200 Elegance 96 plate, and one of the LED lights in the drivers door as gone. Can any one tell me if I can get into the handle to put a replacement Bulb or do i have to change the hole of the handle with the LEDs in situ. Can any one tell me how to get in at the handle (i.e does all the door panel have to come off?)

If you open the door and pull back the rubber seal adjacent to the handle you will see a hole into which you insert a long allen key..4mm i think.. in there is a grub screw and u unscrew it ..not fully ..just until the handle rear fixed piece pulls out ..

Hi,
As Extractorfan says, but I would do it sooner rather than later as it can cause immobiliser/alarm problems.
On mine one was,nt working when I bought the car 9 months down the line I starting getting intermittent problems with the immobiliser/alarm, diagnosed by MB tech, that this was the problem (I personnally doubted it was that as the alarm had been working alright for so long without the L.E.D. not working). Anyway I replaced it and its been ok ever since.
