I've been offered some led replacement rear lights for my 210 for £219

I understand LEDs react faster and last longer

Anyone got any comments - price/desirability

Hi ROB210

I've fitted them to mine and think they look good and work well. I bought mine from Canada at $230 US including shipping. There was no extra charge on importing them either. I think your £219 a little expensive unless they are Mercedes grade (bosch etc) upgrade items.

I can give you who I bought mine from if you want.

Bad photo attached of my ones.

Hi,
You will get the lamp failure warning light on unless you put a shunt resistor in each monitored lamp circuit.

The E Bay member is Jakuo5 item number 270241732841 total cost was $232.98 US including shipping.

The units come with the shunt resisters attatched. They have been in for about a month now with no problems.

Rob, if you are going to upgrade your headlights let me know and I'll tell you what not to do or buy.

I've also added the indicator wing mirrors from e bay , again I can help with which ones fit and which don't.

Good luck with your upgrades.

R230...about to purchase will update shortly
Hi, Ive got this set* in my E430, which I originally had in a Peugeot 306, bought them in 2003 and they're still going strong :)

Not cheap though at $639 a side! when I bought them they were nudging £150 a pop- I went for the full monty and bought 4!. excellent customer service - they replaced a ballast after 13 months when though it still worked, something internally at broken down causing it to only work when the supply load was applied to the outside casing and not the terminal! I think they sent it back to Phillips as theyd never seen that happen before!

With these and indeed most kits I think you'll find the weak link is the relays involved in taking the signal from the OE halogens to the Xenon (no Z in Xenon;)) ballasts. They tend to pack up after 18mths - 2 years, so I normally carry a couple in the boot, only 3-4 quid from Hellfords etc.
