Left hand Indicator warning light

My left hand indicator warning light keeps coming up when i turn my lights on, even when l press the OK button, it keeps coming up, it started when l hosed the leaves of the bonnet, could water got into the signal wire somewhere. any ideas as to what would cause the problem. thanks in advance

W221 will be LED indicators I'd imagine. There is probably a current balance sensor in the system somewhere checking the current flow is as expected. If there is water in the system, this may well allow a small current flow to earth upsetting the system. That's just my guess.

thanks for the reply , any guess is better than nothing, l think you are right, my drowning the car with water to wash the leaves of was not a good idea, a can of contact cleaner l think might come handy
