Now the nights are drawing in I am using my (purchased May 06) SL 320 1999 facelift (R129) in the dark and obviously the lights are being used. What I've discovered is the light around the passenger seat adjuster (shaped like the seat in the door card) does not light up. The 1 2 & 3 buttons do.
Also the control wheel furthest left for the blower amongst the three in the centre of the dash is only dimly illuminated, and the rocker switch to the left of the light above the rear view mirror also does not light up.
Is this just replacement bulbs and if so how do I get to the dash board light and the seat adjuster. Or is it a fuse, or knowing my luck something more complicated?
I am one of these car owners who likes everything to work as it should, and I am extremely annoyed to find these not operating.
Final question.
If I take the door cards off could I upset the side air bags.
Any help would be appreciated.
