Got a pair of lemforder droplinks for the front of my W212 from autodoc. The part numbers match the equivalent MB parts.
On fitting, the lemforder parts are longer then the fitted MB parts and I couldn't get them to fit properly.
When they were fitted. they were not perpendicular but at an angle and the screw shafts were at an angle in the mount.
I removed them and looks like a trip to MB parts in the morning is on the cards. I also think I buggered up a boot on one of them so cannot return them.

Part numbers are

36714 01 right

36713 01 left

Have I done something incorrect or are these the wrong parts?
MB part numbers are -A2123201189 left
A2123201289 right

Did you fit them to the wrong sides ?
What do you mean by boot on a drop link ?

I made sure I had the correct sides.
by the boot i mean the rubber covering the ball joint.
Comparing both parts the lemforder is noticeably longer

Different lengths for Sport? Will the ARB foul anything if you fit them?

A comparison price between Lemforder and MB will be interesting I’ve always found genuine drop links from MB reasonably priced

I paid a total of £37 for both lemforders, vs the online price from MB Newcastle of approx £100.
No doubt I'll be paying more than this tmrw from my local MB.

I don't see how other than cutting them, I'll post a picture tmrw of both for comparison.

The last pair I bought were for the S210 in 2005 genuine worked out at £25 for the pair how things change

I just looked them up, they look like cast alloy and an odd shape to sleeve easily but not impossible. How much difference on length?

Lemforder are a good make, I'd suspect that Autodoc have the wrong ones listed - EuroCarParts sold me brake pads that were the wrong size. Turns out that I have Sport discs which are larger and therefore require larger pads, but they had none in stock and the ones sold to me were the standard fit.
I suspect that something similar is going on here.

I have found sport being a few mm difference to standard/elegance on drop links before but an inch is probably for a completely different car!

I only use autodoc when I can’t find what I need elsewhere or the price difference is huge tbh.

What’s the mileage on your car I think my front drop links are starting to complain at 80k miles with a slight knock on full lock?
