Level Sensor linkage - Recall

I've just received a recall letter from MB regarding the Level Sensor Linkage on the rear axle. Anyone else had this? Apparently if there is a fault it makes the rear suspension too hard! This could explain why my rear end skips out whenever I hit a deep rut or manhole cover and the ride is hard.
My car is a October 2008 model.
