Yes, he won. He kept his cool. 7 points ahead but behind Ferrari in manufacturers.

It nice to hear Ferrari drivers said they have been outclassed.

The final one in two weeks time at Sao Paulo, Brazil.

My money is on one of the Ferrari's 'taking out' Hamilton in an 'accident' early in the race.

Do you think so JEZ one never knows, what is better, a new engine or one that has been used for this race.

They won't need to. If he looks like he's winning, the stewards will book him a drive through penalty. Probably for getting in Massa's way which was the crime Bordais committed in Japan. If he wins, it will be in spite of the Stewards who proved in Japan that they will cheat in favour of ferrari whenever they can get away with it.
Anyway, I think if Hamilton keeps his head, he should simply settle for 3rd and let the ferraris have the 1-2. That way they can't cause him any problems and he can sit smugly at the press conference afterwards as champ. I just hope nothing goes wrong as he only needs 5th to win, something he can do with his eyes shut if he stays out of trouble.

Hamilton is way too aggressive for my liking. but we are right in thinking that something can go wrong as even Alonso is in favor for Ferrari's and would help Massa if he could.

Lets see how Massa does in Brazil.......... and hopefully if Hamilton keeps his cool, he may get the world championship this time

Odd isn't it, that's just what I like about him. He's a scrapper and doesn't just follow round waiting for the straight where they just cruise past as with Ferrari (who always seem to have a few extra mph in hand) or waiting lap after lap for the car in front to make a mistake, as with everyone else. He's the only driver I've seen that can still win, even with a slower car and it makes him a lot more entertaining to watch. And, after all, it's primarily entertainment.
As good as McClaren are, the fessas are faster and I suspect that Hamilton in a ferrari would be as unbeatable as Schumaker was.

He also comes across as a really nice bloke.

I really hope he can pull it off this time.

As J berks above formula 1 has been quite boring for some years and it is good to see someone like Hamilton have a go.

The Mansell days with Schumaker were very good

Hamilton is a nice guy and I hope too that he can pull it off

Bring on next year - I think that Hamilton and Alonso will be the class of the field driving cars which are easier to overtake, this will certainly help the aggressive daring drivers.

I don't buy the conspiracy theory about the stewards - granted there have been some awful decisions this year (Bordais was the worst), but I really cannot believe that in a sport like F1 there is systematic bias, I do think that there is systematic incompetence and there needs to be a professional body of stewards.

Did you notice the speed of the engine? 19K rpm for a 2 litre engine.

The engines are 2.4L, and are limited by the FIA to 19k rpm - Before the regulations were put in place, I believe that BMW had a 3L engine that would rev to 20k rpm - I suspect that the 2.4L engines that they now use could rev well past 20k rpm

Dnt know about you guys but i would love to have a go at one of those cars and get the feel and rush from that sort of speed. I do think Hamilton has made it very interesting with this over aggressive approach but he is still young and sometimes makes mistakes which he can easily avoid. That would have helped him to win the GP with couple of races to go.

Ferrari has had a few blowouts and still hanging around under Meclaran throat for drivers championship.

Don't you know what it like driving past 100mph is like? Hair raising. I drove a Cavalier in 1986 on the German motorway 210kmh. Prepare to say to yourself you are don't mind dying before you proceed. Don't forget to prepare your will first.:D

Amazing how hammy /mclaren supporters only see others faults and ferrari supporters ditto , truth be told biased blindness is quite common, and now as a luke warm ferrari supporter let me rubbish young hammy ..when he is in front he is good ..but who isnt..when he has obstacles in front of him he makes loads of mistakes ..and in this race he has a used engine ( the gladness in my heart is only surpassed by raikonnens magnetic personality) so a good race I hope ...25 laps and his engine blows up..

Don't know if you saw Hammond's go at driving the renault f1 car. Absolutely terrifying. You have to commit 100% as otherwise the tyres and brakes don't come up to temp and don't work making it even scarier.
