lifter knocking

hey all, just wanna query...

After taking my merc on long fast running journeys, when the cars up to full operating temp, when i come to idle, i can hear one of the lifters 'tapping'. Give it a rev goes away. Is this normal? i gave it an oil change and this had stoped it to a certain extent.....shhould i worry or just turn up my radio :lol:

You've done all the "cheap" options, from now on you'll be spending big money.

So don't loose sleep over it, just add it to the list of jobs to do "when you get round to it"

do the 86 190e's have tappets or lifters in them?
