Steering is rock solid in every MB I've ever driven, E class, C class, SL and CLK.

It's one of the pleasures of the brand.

the steering on my 216 is rock solid but it cant touch the alfa for feel and feedback and the alfas done 105k more miles lol

Not sure what the op is referring to really. My CLS (2007) is on point. As soon as you start turning off centre the car is turning. It is a tiny bit numb in comparison to my previous which was a vw jetta with sport pack but thats the nature of mercedes. Cannot say its vague or that i dont know where the car is going when i trun the wheel. Like anything else give it some time and you will adjust to it. For a car of this size and weight, only beaten by the s class in both categories it performs really well and is very predictable.
