garage changed engine. I drove about 16 test miles. All fine. Parked, next morning remote system works door opens and locks, but the key does not turn no ignition, the gear stick does not move. Mercedes agent ask £180 for on sight inspection, and than they want to transport the car to appointed dealer. The typical rip off story.
Battery is OK. The windows came about 40 cm down and the the control does not respond.
Any idea what to try?
