Hi All

I have a really annoying problem in that when it's cold outside, the remote keys on my 2000/X C240 (w203) won't respond and I have to use the emergency key blade to get in. This naturally sets off the alarm, and even when in the car and I insert the main key in the ignition, it won't always release. I thought it might be the battery voltage a bit low so I changed the battery and it was OK for a day or so. Eventually, it'll unlock and I can re-sequence the infra-red part of the keys again and it'll be fine for a few days. Both key batteries are new. It's driving me mad!!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Your Mercedes
2002 SL500, 216 CL500, all fully loaded
With the DAS keys try pressing any button and inserting it in the ignition within 5 sec.

When they fail to turn try leaving in the ignition switch for 90 mins
