I have just purchased a 2005 SLK 200 which is in excellent condition and I'm very happy with it other than the locking wheel nut is missing, the previous owner says it was there when I purchased the vehicle but of course it isn't, any advice would be appreciated.. thanks

If its a Mercedes locking wheel nut, you can get a replacement socket at the dealers. Cost is around £35.

They have a box of about 24, all different and its just a case of finding the one that fits.
The parts guy came out to mine and found the correct one.

Edit, I assume you have checked the glove box, centre arm rest ,tool kit etc for the socket?

Thanks for the replies gents, I have nearly stripped the car down today to look for it to no avail, unfortunately my local dealer (Macclesfield) is closed currently but I do have a service contact there who looked after my previous E class so I shall call him once this lockdown is finished...

I thought I'd lost my locking wheel bolt key on my R Class & asked MB if they kept a record of which lock was fitted to any given car ... they don't.
Citroen however do as I found out when Costco broke the key on EmilysMum's C3

It should be in a small plastic “briefcase” along with the bolts that the locking bolts replaced.
When you do get the locking bolts off, apply them to the nearest bin and replace them with normal bolts
