Hi
I'm new to this,but can anyone shed any light on this,I have a 500SE 89',but both driver/passengers doors locks are (what I think) broke.
The only way I can lock/unlock is through the boot,You see the key goes in but it wont turn Iv'e tried "WD" & oil,but it just wont turn,the dealer (****** cowboy) said "it worked with me the last time I tried it",yea right!!!!! (I thought),(by the way I got it quite cheap because of this).
So if anyone has a lock set available for it it'd be appreciated,but another problem has started (why is these things start just after you buy something!!!!),I have a bad missfire under load,when I sit with the car in neutral and rev it,it doesn't matter what RPM I sit at,even if I hold it for a couple of secs it doesn't miss a beat but the minute I drive off it starts missing, GGrrrrrr.
Iv'e just replaced the plugs with NGK tripple electrode thingy's,and are sparking fine (well,at tickover anyway).
So I think the only thing thats left is the Dizzy cap/rotor,and possible HT''s,oh! and not forgetting the coil,has anyone any ideas,cause' they'll be greatly appreciated.
cause' as you'll all know merc parts are not cheap,I just priced HT's and again you'll know I need 8,and at just under £40 each, ouch!
