We Brits really are a push-over, mind you MB seem to be honouring claims on the W212 to date, how long that lasts is another matter.

In all fairness some of the US regions roads are awash with salt during the winter months so the subframes will be rusting inside and out

I wonder if the "under standard warrranty terms and conditions" statement is significant - and they're only going to do where there's MB service history, or at least some other recognised service history?

I think in the UK they've been doing it as goodwill.
