Hi all,

Looking at an E220 Coupe. It has done only 65K, but no history since 45K, suspect it hasnt been done since then.

I will be going to look at it over the next week or two. Are there any main things i should check? I guess its missed a major service.

The car is perfect in every other respect (except the price!). Im just suspicious about why an MB owner wouldnt service a car like this.

Any comments much appreciated.

Thx

Jay

It may be just a case of the owner taking it to an independent garage, a MB major service can cost almost £700 with new brake fluid, coolent etc.
If it's been correctly serviced with a synthetic oil such as Mobil 1 than the oil should still look clean. As a matter of precation I would change both the gearbox and engine oil with new filters, renew the anti-freeze and brake fluid and check the brake pads.

Hi,

even if they did, why wouldnt they stamp the book? Also no receipts to prove.

Will check oil and general order of the car when i go to see it.

Thx
