Looking at buying a 2013 C220 cdi amg sport. It has 119k on the clock. Is this mileage too high? Is there anything I should look out for if I do take it for a test drive?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome,

Servicing is everything with these cars the more oil changes the better ie, <10k miles would be better it’s certainly something I would be looking for on a high mileage car I’m not a fan of extended service intervals

Good luck with your search a lot of members post a link to the car for comment

An SLK in Fire Opal Red has been parked outside the house for about an hour now, did they suffer from the same problem ? Whenever the problem is reported it it always a C Class

They did and a lot have been repainted - this C Class looks from the advert like it might already have been repainted. (Unless the supplying dealer has just polished it with colour match polish to disguise any issues... (not unknown unfortunately))

Aside from what’s been mentioned already, water pump, bushes, ball joints etc, I’d have a listen for any rattles from the timing chain area. Start it from cold, see if you can hear any rattles.
It all depends on what sort of life it’s had, if it’s done short start stop journeys, the chain might be worn. If it’s done long journeys with lots of motorway miles, the chain should be fine. I replaced mine at 105k. A colleague at work who did loads of motorway miles sold his on 250k miles still on original chain, never once heard any noise from it….

Cheers
Steve
