Hi Russie, before you go hunting around, ask the seller for the VIN number and enter it into the link, that way you will find out what the true extras are on the car as most dealers show things that are standard.

The dealer should not object to this, if they do forget the car

Russie,
Watch for signs of clocking. There are scum around who make a living, travelling from dodgy dealer to dodgy dealer with laptop and a naughty set of leads and connectors, knocking 50k off this and 100k off that....
Mercedes Benz wear their mileage so well that they make prime targets for the "what mileage do you want on this one John..." merchants.
Take care and see if you can get corroboration of mileage, from old MOT's or even phoning the previous owner. Look for signs of tampering with the service book (Have the staples been opened? Do the rubber stamping look kosher?) Look, I'm even sounding like a dodgy dealer myself now!!!

Russie. Agree with other members especially Doug. Prices appear very cheap compared to where I come from. I suggest you dont do anything until you have had a decent drive of all the contenders. I guarantee that every car will drive differently even though they are identical models. The proof is in the driving. The right one with authentic mileage will always drive sweeter and smoother than the others.

Thanks guys, your comments have certainly helped a person (28 yr old - for poll stats !) who knows nothing about cars (especially Doug). Although I now feel less confident than before ! I always have a AA/RAC full inspection; would they be able to pick up on the mileage isssue? Will keep a look out for the points raised.

Cheers.
