Can somebody please advice as to a reliable and knowledgable independent service centre for our 1982 280TE in Surrey (we are living in Chipstead). So it would be nice if it is close to Chipsted.
We are new to the UK and bought the car twoo days ago to use for a trip to Scotland. We are willing to take it to an centre further away if they know what they are doing and if they are reliable and charge reasonable fees.
We are aslo looking for the front, sides and back seals on the sunroof as well as for the springs that is suppose to lift the sunroof wind defelector up when you open the sunroof - or at least for the name of a reliable broker where we can buy second hand parts. A roofliner is next on the list.
Would be nice if we can repair the sunroof and have the car serviced before the end of 2007 and in time for our trip to Scotland.
