Resistors do not just burn up,, there will be a reason and this needs to be found or the new one will go the same way

I have never seen one of these you could look to see what the resistor was connected to and what it is doing,,, you could also try A high value one and work down.

The other thing that can be done is to push one of the ohm meter probes through the coating about the ½ way mark, get a reading and double it to allow for the length

its connect to a few more resistors the circuit opens the doors after you use the remote phob to turn off alarm

their are so many resistors that fitting the wrong one could fry the lot , the short circuit is an accidental low-resistance connection between two nodes of an electrical circuit that are meant to be at different voltages. This results in an excessive electric current (overcurrent) limited only by the Thevenin equivalent resistance of the rest of the network and potentially causes circuit damage, overheating, or fire

so i thing ill just have too pray that some one else has one and may be able to take a picture or scraping a car that has one

thanks again i might try it do if nothing else works

If you wish to post to me the old resistor I may be able to tell you what it was near enough
