Loose mirrors on E320 W211

Hi, Can anybody tell me why my mirrors both sides are not solidly fixed to the body? there is no damage to them thinking that they could have been bashed against a other car, its that when you move them either way they do not lock solid in the park position if you see what i meen many thanks Dave

Dave the frames could be broken I have sent you the how to remove the covers so that you can see what is wrong

They should click back into position if you move the mirror back and forward with the door mounted button.. or locking and unlocking should do it if they are auto folding..

You sure you havn't got folding mirrors?? In which case, fold them in & then out again.

Sorry if i have mislead you guys, my problem is the whole folding mirrow assembly is slightly loose as though the mirror casing has lost its spring tension, they are not folding mirrors just standard ones but should they feel as though there is spring tension on them when you try to fold them flat, its only about 3 or 4mm of looseness if you see what i mean, thanks Dave

Sorted now, figured out that the mirrors are folding and once folded and then opened again alls tight and well thanks folks
