Hello all , I went for an MOT last week and ever since that was done I’ve had loss of power issues . It started off by losing power at low speed …specifically at 20 mph …but yesterday I was doing around 60 mph and it felt like there was nothing there when I put my foot down and I could hear a strange wooshing sound coming through the passenger side cabin air vent .
My feeling is when they revved the engine to do the emissions test something like a hose maybe blew off ?
It’s a 55 plate E220 estate …and worth very little …I just use it to cart my dog around , so don’t want to spend a huge amount on it by going to specialists . My usual mechanic had a Quick Look and couldn’t see anything wrong . He put his diagnostic reader on it and a code came up , no idea which one , he then took it for a spin …said he couldn’t hear or feel anything , put the reader back on and the code cleared .Does anybody on here have any ideas .
Sorry to not sound very technical with my description , but any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks
