Lost key !!!

I've lost the key to my 1999 SLK and every locksmith I ask say they can't help create a replacement ! Even Mercedes dealer said they can't guarantee a replacement and I have to get the car lifted to them . Has anyone else had this problem ?!

Depending on key type it may something RMK can help with or dealer only.
If it's the flip out key dealer only. If it's the electronic key then RMK might be able to help.
