you'll need the V5

your passport, or photo driving licence , possibly proof of address and a shed load of money, and a bit of patience. I think your looking at £160 plus, and maybe a few days wait. It has to be the dealers. On the other hand, are you covered with mobilo life, as i think this is one of the things they may do. Either way, some phoning up is required on your part.
Good luck.

Sorry - not possible.

In addition to all the personal ID you will need to take to the Dealer - you will also need to take your logbook.

Bad Luck.!

If it's any consolation, I locked my keys in the boot this morning (putting laptop in, put keys on boot floor, closed boot - Do'h.!!) BUT, I had a spare key....there is a moral there somewhere.

you could get someone of good standing

to prove who you are ( let's go the whole hog and pretend all your id is in the car as well). That would be your GP or solicitor or priest or a policeman or civil servant or other professional who knows you. You'd also need whoever sold you the car to substantiate your claim to ownership.
a good argument for keeping all these things out of the car.
( i've been there as well, locked my keys in the boot of my beemer 300 miles from home. Ouch)

It just gets worse and worser, doesn't it..?? :(

I also doubt that a Dealer will order you a key until the up to date logbook is in your mitts.

Do you have a skateboard or a pair of rollerblades you can borrow?

OH - and don't be tempted by buying one from ebay - they won't work..!

As you have the last owners name in the log book why not ask him and save £150

Well Done.! When I wanted to order a spare key for the ML, the Dealership wanted a raft of ID - Proof of Ownership, Utility Bills, Passport, Driving Licence etc - I was surprised they didn't ask for DNA or even body parts..!!!!!!

When I questioned their rationale - they came up with the most ridiculous scenario's of "What if's...........". I just walked away
