Lost Radio code

I disconnected the battery on our 2003 SLK230, then found that I have lost the card with the radio code.

Have I got any alternative to asking the dealership for help, and if not any idea how much they charge to reissue the code?

My dealer did'nt charge me anything, and no reputable dealer should!

thanks for the suggestion, I got the code over the phone this afternoon from the dealer by giving the VIN.

I expected to be charged because I used to own Fords!
