I've lost the socket for my locking wheel bolts.

Can Mercedes supply a replacement if I provide them with my chassis number?

If they are genuine Mercedes locking bolts - and were fitted from new - the key adaptor code should be on a sticker inside the maintenance booklet.

If you have,nt got the key code sticker for the locking wheel nut key on your maintenance booklet, and they are genuine MB ones your dealer should have a master set of wheel nut keys, by taking your car to them they will try each one in turn till the right one is found and order you one from its details.

...Draper also do a removal tool, it's a tapered socket which cuts a lefthand thread over the locking bolt until it becomes so tight due to the taper it releases the bolt. I've used this tool and it does work although you will need to use it with a windy gun, just your arms isn't enough to get a bite.

Sorry to hear you have lost your key! depending on which wheels you have, the removal tools from halfords and the like do not allways work because the tools will not fit in the wheel bolt holes, like W211 elegance wheels for example, just find a really tight hardened 19mm socket and "sorry" smash it onto the locking wheel nut! then use a lever bar and usually they will come off cheers Dave

If MB go through it with the masters, you could be there for a while ......at what £ per hour ................ drill em out and get a new set ...cheaper in the long run !

Been there, done that !

They normally make no charge, other than the cost of the new piece

Hi,
New locking wheel nut key from MB, is approx. £26 a bit expensive.
But I would rather pay that, than use some of the other solutions suggested to remove the locking wheel nut bolts on this thread.

Hi everybody,

Where can I get a replacement as my key is damaged.

If you have OEM locking wheel bolts, the dealer will sell you a new socket for £32. Take the damaged one with you as its easier to find the correct match from around 50 different patterns.
