Loud hissing

Hi all just noticed tonight when a put me foot down am getting a loud hissing sound but then as the car gets up to speed the noise goes off any suggestions.
No lights on dashboard.

Are these a common fault with these cars would u no also is there a way of testing ?

Test by looking and yes not uncommon.

Hoses should be clean and free from oil. If they're oily look closer for a split or leak.

Is that the big red pipe at the bottom left of the engine under the turbo looking from the front of the car

Intercooler pipes are the biggest fattest pipes in the engine bay and go to the intercooler.
No idea what colour they are on yours. On my R Class they're black.

Would you know if there should be oil or sut or anything just to indicate that it's failed when a look tomorrow

Everything should be dry. Oil is often a sign of a leak.

A was just wondering trying to see a hole in a pipe down in the engine bay could be a little tricky lol

You may need to remove the hoses.
Splits can be hard to see and no oil doesn't mean no leak but if there is oil its very likely split.
They tend to leak at the ends. Sometimes the seal can leak.

Super common to split the front right pipe (as looking down into the engine bay). Not the red one, the other black one with same dimensions.

The red one is a boost pipe though, but do not go as much.
