Loud Screech........

Coming from the front of the engine on my 211 320CDi L6 when the engine is switched off.
Belts looks okay, as is one or the tensioners. Seems to be coming from the diesel pump area?
I do think the engine mounts could do with replacing, maybe it is coming from them??

Water pump,? It's all at the front. Maybe you only hear it as the pulleys stop?

Thanks for that pgh13, yes only as the engine comes to a stop you can hear the screech/squeak noise.

I find that any car I drive with the family in it has a loud screech usually coming from the front passenger seat, at predictable intervals...

(just getting this in now before anyone else spots the gap!)
