So I was driving along doing around 40mph when a big cloud of smoke appeared from the exhaust engine light came on and engine was making a horrible knocking noise , The AA came and got me home on the back of there truck . After about three days or so I went to start having a look at what had gone wrong I turned the key it started and all was well no issues and the engine light went off. 3 weeks 500miles passed no issue then on a small 5 mile journey the exact same thing happened again . AA came and plugged it in and a low fuel rail pressure fault was the issue. So I’ve done a fuel pressure test at the start of the rail and that’s between 90/120psi this is without the engine running as it won’t start.so I know I have fuel at the start of the rail or pressure valve .Then I removed the pipes which connect the rail to the injectors , again turned the ignition on and no fuel came out of any of the ports so iam thinking blockage? I have removed the rail and put the air line through it all the ports blow through but when I put it through the inlet where the valve is there’s no air passing through . I’ve put 12v across the valve terminal and there is a click but it doesn’t open to let air pass through. Is this a good test ? Do you guys think I’ve found the issue?
