low revs

Help :confused:
I have a 230CE and the engine has some problems I have had a compretion test and it shows that two cylinders are low however this has not been a problem until resently, when the car is put into drive the revs go down and the car cuts out I have tryed to ajust the revs in order to get it to the garage, any ideas?

Hi Mark,

Most auto's have some sort of engine load compensator on them, basically when the car is put into drive or reverse, the engine slows down, then the compensator cuts in to bring the revs back up again. this all happens in the blink of an eye. It may be this thats at fault. Imsure one fo the more experienced people on here will answer you soon though.
