Hi all

I'm thinking of fitting lowering springs on my W208. Should lower it by 40mm.

Before I go ahead and whilst it's still only a thought, does anyone have any thoughts/knowledge/advice?

Pro's, con's, etc.

cheers

As it's an Avantgarde it is already 20/25mm lower than the Elegance model. Ride will not be as good, pot holes and traffic raging measures will make it very easy to bottom the car out. Wheels fouling bodywork as well as possibly rubbing against the suspension is another issue.
However I'm sure it will look good.

This ebay seller is selling CLK lowering kit, (springs and dampers).

agree with Blobcat, car would look gorgeous, but ride quality will be compromised. but cornering will be better and you would feel more road grip at high speed.

p.s. if you get the CLK lowered, please share your experience afterwards, as I want to lower CLK as well, but waiting to hear from someone who has already done it! :)

The Ebay link has CLK 4-Cyl in the title but no mention in the body text. As the 320 is a 6-cyl these may not be suitable.

I fancy the look of the lowered W208 CLK, I saw one on the motorway the other day and thought that I'd like mine to look that good.

Elite in Rainham, Essex supply the service and they have quoted me £311.00 fully fitted and wheel alignment included.

This is their site: http://www.elitedirect.com/

Anyone had theirs lowered and can advise on pro's and con's ???

Thanks..... Jon
