Luggage Cover Actuator Fault ?>

Can anybody advise please
My luggage cover has stopped raising and lowering as I open the boot door.
Is this a fault or have I could I have turned it off in some way.
I have an October 2005 E320 CDI Estate

Its a fault. Probably drive motor or reed switch on inside of near side C pillar trim.
