Morning all,

I have put this thread in the electronics section as well as I'm not sure where it best sits. Last paragraph is applicable here I think.

The speedo on my e320 cdi w210 (2001) seems to be jumping up in steps instead of being smooth. After about 50mph it jumps up as though it's notched, instead of smooth. It's fine on the way down though.

Last time this happened with the speedo, and the idle on the car started getting very lumpy at the same time, it was when the injectors packed up - I am not sure if it's linked, but the car has also developed a very "lumpy" idle.

Any ideas?

Engine does not seem to be free as it used to, it's heavier in town and motorway, it seems more effort is required.

For example, before I used to tap the accelerator slightly to go from 50 - 70 mph, now you physicaly have to put your foot down.
