Hi Everyone
I have a problem with starting my 200 clk. When you start the engine it is miss fireing and popping , it does this for about 30 seconds and then is ok. A mechanic told me the battery needed replacing , so i did now the problem is worse than ever. I put the old battery back on and now the lumpy miss fire wont go away at all. Any help you guys could give me i would be very grateful
Many thanks
Steve.

i cant see how your battery will make your engine misfire????? It could be a number of things but the main culpret is the MAF sensor if cases of misfires in Mercs, but also check spark plugs, leads, fuel etc etc....

Hi
Yeah your not kidding , I certainly wont be goig anywhere near that guy again. In the end it cost me £440.00 inc the tow charge to get the car to Mercedes. Very expensive considering i could have bought the part on e-bay for around £70.00 and fitted it myself. But you live and learn . If i get any more problems i will certainly check this site first.
