Hello,
Some history; Bought this 190 (1987) it is a Pierburg Carb. model. The clock said 59500, looked okay by the Mots. First major hiccup was a valve burnt on no 1, I still have not been able to determine the reason. I replaced all the valves and springs checked the head for trueness and cracks- nothing. Now when idling, is lumpy mainly when in gear, she is an auto 2.0 ltr. She seems to hunt when idling that is what it seems like. I have had the mixture checked and I have adjusted the idling and checked the carb fully. Replaced the distributor cap, rotor and HT leads. I have tried to adjust the fast idle maybe this was a big mistake! I almost believe it could be a valve. I am at loss please help.

Thanks
Panos

Have you done a wet and dry compression test? If so what were the results? I gather the valve timing has been checked?

I have not done a compression test as yet and neither have I checked the valve timing. Is it possible yo can inform me how to carry this out as i had suspected this as a possibility as well.
Many Thanks
