M L 320 trip meter fault

as a new owner of a second hand 1999 ml320 I need some advice,the trip meter, cigarette lighter sun visor mirror lights and glove compartment lights dont work,having read the manual, I checked the fuse that relates to all of these and found its ok,doesn't appear to be any other electrical problems, any suggestions as I dont know where to go from here

Before you go any further - replace the fuse anway - just to be sure.

thanks for the suggestion,should have put in that have changed fuse and checked all the bulbs,any help is gratefully received

Okay understood, but sorry ringo - I cannot help on the specifics as I have no access to the wiring diagram.

Have they ever worked while vehicle in your ownership? If not it may stem from previous work under the dash - loose connection or similar.

were working until I tried to use the lighter,thats when the fuse blew,obviously has a fault on the circuit somewhere,looks like a trip to mercedes for a diagnostics check,thanks anyway

have heard that rear cig lighter can be on wrong way round causing fault try disconnecting it and put new fuse in or if an adaptor has been used in front cig lighter the prongs may have expanded and shorting out on casing goo luck
