Seeing the slower cars you really get to appreciate the speed of the F1 car. It kind of gets lost watching the grand prix. Thanks for posting!

wow - the acceleration of the F1 on the home straight says it all really.

I've driven many fast cars in my time (all astons back to DB5, Ferrari's, Lambo's, etc. and a Mclaren Merc') but I still get more perception of speed on a motorbike. I'd imagine an F1 car would knock that into a cocked-hat/perspective.....

....but on a bike its you alone and no bodywork around you. On the (very, very rare and obviously private roads) occasions I've had it showing 125mph or so (and it supposedly maxes out at about 150+ but I don't have the bottle) it feels like you're the fastest thing ever (plus the thought that if I fall off I'm gonna die eases the RH backoff the throttle). I've done those speeds in cars and its relatively 'normal'. Fastest I've driven (and it was on a track) is with the speedo showing 170 in a Vanquish and that did feel f-a-s-t with just a twitch moving the car 12 foot sideways.

I have greatest respect for racers, whatever machine they're in, if it includes manic speeds.

various
I was surprised how long the SL took to get past the C200 though. But that last aerial shot on the home straight just put the F1 acceleration into perspective.
