MAF sensor / safe mode

Hi all

Just to update you on my maf sensor problem or so I thought.

I changed my maf sensor twice but still kept going into safe mode 2-3 times a week, I was going to get a boash one but before I did I bought 2 new rear LED light clusters and fitted them and now the safe mode problem has gone away. it's been two months now since I fitted them and no safe mode.

I had a chat with a guy at a garage and he said if you have a slightly bodgey bulb on the rear lights it can put it into safe mode, so my surgestion to anybody that has the safe mode problem is to try changing all the tail light bulbs first it's the cheaper option.

Well i never,wouldnt think that would cause that!!

So it would only happen when you had the side lights switched on,,

sorry ML270 cdi and no it went in to safe mode when no light where on but I have done nothing but replaced the rear light clusters and to this day the problem has not shown it self again.

Not at all,, one of my neighbors reckons that he only got punctures after fitting a new diff
