Main beam bulb change W211 Avantgarde

Looking to replace a defectie main beam bulb on my 2004 W211 avantgarde. Can I have some guidance please - how do I do it and are they H7's (the car has xenons as standard).

The bulb could be faulty, or it could be the control components, plugging into STAR will tell you what it is.
