Don't worrythere will be a means to energize the electrics, you can open the bonnet, but you will need a 12volt source, not a battery charger, but any small 12volt battery. I need a few hours thinking time, will come back later in the day.

I Didn't think they did a chauffer key for the C class. I suspect you are doing something wrong in the opening process. Allegedly it can be a bit tricky - turn and push, turn then push etc.
Perhaps energising the car via the cigarette lighter? - just need a lighter adapter and a car battery. I believe Halfords do something along these lines charging if you don't want to get mucky.

OK had a think, a safe way is to open the bonnet and with a spare battery, and jumper leads, join the + plus to the thick heavy cable on stater motor, and the - neg cable to chassis. This should enable the vacuam pump to run so that you can open the boot. Do not try and start the car this way, but as I say it will enable you to open the boot.
the problem with using a battery charger for this is that the nominal output is in the order of 20 volts off load and would incure damage.

Turn key left and then centre and it will unlock manually if you push with key still in lock.Same as when you deadlock the boot manually.

I'm not sure if your vacuum pump is the same as the W124, but if the worst comes to the worst, you will need to get 12V onto the pump, flick the drivers lock and all the locks should open. The pump (on the W124) is under the floor behind the drivers seat.

However, the key that fits the drivers door should fit the boot as well.
