Hi

I have taken delivery of my SL500. I have found it has massage seats (not specified in the dealer spec......they are heated and cooled as well) My problem is I have no instructions or idea how they work. The controls are sorted into three groups. Above a + and - rocker switch, below this a square switch again with + and - as a rocker but also up and down arrows. To the side another square with 'pulse' and what looks like an LED. I hope I have described them enough for someone that has them to recognise the controls and advise me of their action. They are on both seats. Thanks for your time.

Bossmls.

Thats easy to answer.

The long vertical leaver moves the side surports in or out.

The upper + on the rocker switch blows up the upper back
The low + blows up the lower part.

The minus lets it all down again.

Press the LED switch and the back rest will pulsate slowly.

If you press the LED switch and it goes off after 10 sec, come back.

If the LED goes out in 10 secs,it means the seats are not activated ,the quickest test is with the long vertical side suport, where this sides move in and out quickly. If they work the rest should, ign must be on to use the seats.

Nice to talk too you, just a few months back, I was the only one with one, now we have 7 on the forum.
Re the Panoramic roof, that option did not come out till late 02. The car I bought was loaded like yours, with 16k miles, all of those extra's add up to a cool £18k.

I think the black Panoramic roof on a silver car looks wrong, fine on a black car. The actual glass area is not that big.

For me just dropping the top is fantastic motoring with far less wind noise or blowing owing to the lower rake of the windscreen than my last 129 SL.

Hi Malcolm

Got mine last Thursday......not motored with the top down yet, it's rained here in Nottingham ever since! It's my first roadster and I'm hoping for a long hot summer to justify to the wife buying it.

Good for you, and yes its rained almost every day since i bought mine 4-5 months  Even in the rain they are nice, things should look up soon, when you do get a dry day, they are comfortable with the top down as low as 11c. Ny chance of some pictures.

You cant post pictures in the quick section.

It is best to put the pictures in the members cars at the top of the main page.
