MB 140 window closing mechanism

Hi,

As a new member I have just acquired a 1993 600 SEC, lovely car. There are some small faults, one is that passenger door window sealing mechanism that slides the window up a few mm works intermittantly. I gather this is an air system. I have been told that taking off the door trim and lubricating the pump in the door works well but have no experience. Anyone with any advice? Much appreciated.
