MB C180 Auto Transmission

Hi All,
I have a MB C 180 'P' Reg Auto. The problem i m having is that whenever i start to move, it jerks and also from 2nd to 3rd gear.it doesn't jerk after that. it starts again when moving from stop. I hope i have describe it well. Any ideas why is that and a possible solution? Thanks all

When was the last time you had the transmission fluid replaed ? Could be due for replacement.

thanks for the reply. had it replaced about a year ago and it has only done 2000 miles since replaced. thanks

In that case,you need the codes read from the ECU if it is the 722.6 5 speed autobox and checked over by an auto gearbox specialist.

Does it have switcheable 'comfort' and 'standard' settings. My C220 does and in comfort it changes into 2nd almost as soon as the car moves off and its not as smooth as in standard setting.

If you don't have that option I'd have gone with the previous answers of change/check the transmission fluid and as thats been done it the expert answer regarding the codes, etc.
